Simbraille Steps
1, Click on the picture of Louis Braille in Chapter I.
2. The computer will ask if you would like to save or run the program. You choose save.
3. The computer will offer to save Simbraille to your desk top. You simply click on Save.
4. You will get a dialogue box that says "Download Complete" and gives you the option of running the program. Click on that option.
5. You will get a dialogue box that is labelled winZip Extractor. It will ask if you want to unzip to the folder c:/windows/fonts.
6. Click unzip.
7. It should work.
IF IT DOESN'T TRY THIS
1. Go to http://www.brl.org/simbraille.html
Follow these directions.
Download the TrueType font from the Shodor Education Foundation.
When you download the file, it is best to save it to the Desktop (c:\Windows\Desktop).
If you are having trouble with this download, try downloading it from Duxbury Systems.
From the Start menu, go to "Settings" From "Settings", slide over to the "Control Panel" From the Control Panel, double click on the folder "Fonts" Under the menu bar labeled "File", click on "Install New Font"
Locate the SIMBRL.TTF file. It should be on your desktop. Select the SIMBRL.TTF file by clicking on it once. Click on "OK" to install it.
