Clinics
Each year the string faculty at Stephen F. Austin State University provide a number of clinics and masterclasses.
All-State/All-Region
Clinic
Saturday, September 27, 2008, 9-4 pm
The All-State/All-Region clinic is a great chance for students preparing for
these auditions to get helpful tips and insight from SFA's string faculty.
The one-day clinic explores all the etudes and repertoire for the current
auditions.
East Texas Honor Orchestra
A bi-annual event, the East Texas Honor Orchestra (ETHO) offers junior-high
and high school string players the opportunity to work with the Director of
Orchestral Studies of SFA during a two-day intensive study of orchestral repertoire.
The clinic ends with a concert on Saturday afternoon that is open to the public.
Guest Clinicians
Each year, SFA brings in guest artists to work with SFA students and perform great concerts in collaboration with SFA. These are normally free of charge and open to the public. For more information, you may call the School of Music at (936) 468-4602.
