SFA Symphony Orchestra
The SFA Symphony Orchestra (SFASO) is directed by Gene H. Moon, Director of Orchestras. One of the flagship ensembles at Stephen F. Austin, the SFASO partners with various areas of the College of Fine Arts in presenting numerous concerts throughout the school year. These concerts include the annual opera production, the concerto/aria winners concert and Masterworks concerts, a full collaboration between the orchestral and choral divisions.

Orchestra of the Pines
The Orchestra of the Pines is a regional symphony orchestra whose members are comprised by SFA faculty and students alongside import musicians from Dallas, Houston and surrounding states. The Orchestra of the Pines showcases faculty soloists alongside world-reknown soloists from all around the country. Presenting four to five concerts each year, the ensemble offers the community great classical music with outstanding repertoire.

 

Pineywoods Camerata
The Pineywoods Camerata is a conductor-less ensemble led by the SFA string faculty. The ensemble's mission is to create great performance opportunties while building relationships with the community of East Texas. The inaugural performace of the Pineywoods Camerata was held in the fall of 2007.
